School-Based Medi-Cal Administrative Activities (MAA)

The SMAA program reimburses school districts for the federal share (50%) of the certain costs for administering the Medi-Cal program.  Those activities include: 

  • Outreach and Referral
  • Facilitating the Medi-Cal Application
  • Arranging Non-Emergency/Non-Medical Transportation
  • Program Planning and Policy Development
  • MAA Claims Coordination. 

The following Medi-Cal informational flyers are available as a resource to our families, students and staff on an as-needed basis.  These flyers are available for your use throughout the year, but are not intended for school wide distribution
